Coverage

PSX in depth. The world for context.

The desk covers 23 global symbols at index and sector level. Not to compete with the ten thousand places you can already read about Apple — but because Karachi does not trade in isolation, and the tape that moves it is not listed on it.

The broad tape

Where global risk appetite actually sits. Frontier flows follow it, so PSX feels it second-hand.

What this is not

  • No US stock picks. Index and sector level only. On a single US name the desk would be the ten-thousandth source of the same chart, and it says so rather than pretending otherwise.
  • No signals on these. The desk’s risk rules — position sizing, the one-per-sector limit, the circuit breaker — are calibrated on PSX behaviour. Global symbols are research and context; they never produce a setup.
  • End of day, not live. US regular hours fall outside every cycle the desk runs, and a scheduled daily read is what this publication is. Nothing here is a real-time feed.
  • One source, and we name it. These come from a single public price feed. PSX prices are cross-checked between two independent sources; these are not, so they carry slightly weaker provenance and should be read that way.

FAQ

Global coverage, asked and answered

Does Henneth signal on US or global markets?

No. The desk covers 23 global symbols at index and sector level for context only, and generates no setups on them. Its risk rules — position sizing, one position per sector, the circuit breaker — are calibrated on PSX behaviour, so a global symbol never produces a trade setup. Signals are PSX-only.

Why does a Pakistan Stock Exchange desk track the S&P 500, gold and oil?

Because Karachi does not trade in isolation. Global risk appetite drives the frontier flows that reach PSX second-hand, and oil, gold and US rates set Pakistan’s import bill, inflation path and discount rate. The desk reads that tape against its own PSX sector work rather than pretending PSX moves alone.

Is the global market data live or delayed?

End of day, not live. US regular hours fall outside every cycle the desk runs, and a scheduled daily read is what this publication is. Nothing in the global layer is a real-time feed.

Which global symbols does the desk cover?

23 in four groups: the broad US indices including the volatility index, the eleven US sector ETFs, the emerging and developed-market baskets a foreign allocator rotates between, and the rates, credit, gold and oil that matter to Pakistan. The list is generated from the desk’s own configuration, so this page cannot fall out of step with what the pipeline actually covers.

Does Henneth cover individual US stocks?

No. On a single US name the desk would be the ten-thousandth source of the same chart. The depth is Pakistani — nineteen years of PSX history, four-way valuation on every covered name, and an analyst room that debates them in the open. The global layer is the context around that.

The depth is still Pakistani

Nineteen years of PSX history, four-way valuation on every covered name, the analyst Desk Room, and a scorecard that grades its own calls. The global layer is the context around it.
